Kemet Wooden Lapping Sticks are available in both soft and hard wood. The hard sticks are designed for operations requiring fast stock removal, and consist of highly compressed wood layers with alternating grain direction, saturated with synthetic resin. The soft sticks are specially selected from a grit free soft wood, for use with fine grades of Kemet Diamond Compound where a softer medium is needed to produce a fine lustre and polish on the work piece.
