This omnibus compiles three novels by African-American author, Anthropologist and Folklorist Zora Neale Hurston. Each novel was released in the 1930s and independently represent an enormous moment in the career of Hurston: 'Jonah's Gourd Vine' being her debut novel, 'Mules and Men' being a hotly debated Anthropological text which transcribed African-American folklore from Florida and Louisiana, and 'Their Eyes Were Watching God' simply being a classic piece of American Literature.
