Jens Kommnick lives in Wremen, a small fishing village in North Germany, and has devoted a lot of time to being a musician, composer, arranger and producer over the last 35 years. His musical journey began at the tender age of 11 when he first started to play the guitar and was greatly influenced by the singer-songwriter and folk guitar scene. He played his first solo gigs when he was 15 in Germam folk clubs. It was around this time that he secured an engagement which lasted for four years in his home town theatre in Bremerhaven. At the age of 17 Jens first experienced music with Irish and Scottish musicians, and has been hooked on Celtic music ever since. Although most of the instruments Jens plays were self taught, he did study classical guitar and church organ in Cologne. During this period he became more and more enthralled by Irish Music but became also involved in the local jazz scene, and it was this combination of circumstances that helped him to develop the fingerstyle that he
