Vintage form fitting crepe evening dress by Jean Desees of Paris in dark ivory with pink satin trim. Narrow straps in each of the colours provide support to the ruched crepe boned bodice. The curved ruched skirt, which falls from a pink band at the waist, narrows at the hem and is enhanced by floating panels in pink satin and ivory to the sides. An additional floating panel from the left bodice forms a shoulder wrap. It features a zip on the RHS (please see photos - our mannequin is too buxom to allow the zip to close but the zip is in perfect working order), and is fully lined. The donor advises us that this dress would have been worn by the owner before her marriage in 1951; there are a few small marks and some tiny holes in the wrap but for a 75 year old garment it is in remarkably good condition.
