Made from the creative partnership of Bengt Hokanson & Trefny Dix, who opened their first glass studio in Newport, New York in 1996 (subsequently moving to Colorado and back to NY). The collaborative partnership of blown glass vessels, began in 2000, is called Boar Glass. This vase is marked Boar Glass 1oz at the base. (Not an indication of its weight, which is 885g.) They use a combination of traditional Italian and Swedish glass blowing as well as their own experimental techniques. This elegant vase stands 23cm high, base c 5cm in diameter and opening c 4cm. The orange, white and black markings are strongly reminiscent of clown fish. There is a small chip at centre of base, this may well be part of pontil from manufacture.
