The study of hillslopes is a central element of geomorphology and has been the cause of many of the major methodological disputes in the subject. The book deals with observed variations in hillslope form across the surface of the earth and examines the influence of man on hillslopes, assessing the contribution that the understanding of natural hillslopes may make to the management of man-made inclines. This is a first edition from 1988 in very good condition. The only damage is some bending at the top of the dust jacket. The pages are clean and clear and the spine is in very good condition.
