Inscribed by the author at the top of the title page. Bound in deep brown half leather with gilt titles and decoration to spine. Corners and edges rubbed and bumped, with a small piece of the leather covering missing from heel of spine. The leaf immediately prior to the title page has been removed, this could have been a half title page, or a frontispiece. Removal has left the front hinge slightly cracked, and the first page (blank) a little vulnerable at the hinge. The pages are slightly browned; there is also some light foxing to opening and closing pages, but only occasionally elsewhere. The rear hinge is also starting, and the last printed page (a publisher's list) is almost detached. There are some light notes in pencil on the rear endpaper, but no other annotations. vii, 126 pages. Size 17 x 11 x 1.8 cm.
