Lovely Edwardian book for girls printed in German. This is the second edition. There is no date but a previous owner's name and address is written on the fly title page in pencil along with the date 'September 1904'. Illustrated with a number of monochrome full page plates. The end papers are in a beautiful gold floral design (see photo). There are some pages of illustrated adverts for other books from the publishers' catalogue at the end. Coloured, illustrated cover with gilt titles and logos. There are a couple of marks to the front, which do not detract from the appeal of the book and another below the logo on the spine. Internally there is a little foxing to a few pages but overall, in excellent condition. NOTE: This book is printed in German (see photo).
