First edition hardcover in dust jacket, not price clipped. Quarter green cloth on brown paper-covered boards. Sixteen black and white plates drawn by Lionel Edwards, all present and secure, all with captioned tissue guards in place. The spine and boards are a little foxed, and there is some further, heavier, foxing to textblock edges. Internally there is some foxing to the text pages and a few of the tissue guards, mostly mild but sometimes moderate, but the plates are all clean. Additionally there are some spots (where the green paper has faded) on the pastedowns, and an owner's name on the ffep. Finally there is a little rubbing and bumping at the extremities of the book. The jacket is bumped and chipped, and the spine and edges have browned (the spine also has some scuffs). There are also a few spots on the front panel. 106 pages. Size 25.5 x 19.2 x 2.9 cm.
