Text in double-columns. 164 pp. This study commenced as a project to celebrate the centenary of the coming of the railway to what was a fairly remote hamlet in Bucks. This history therefore concentrates on the development of housing as a result of the railway connection to London. It was thought important to record the many interesting buildings that were then constructed as many were in danger of being demolished. The authors were respectively a Librarian and a Lecturer in Urban Geography and were well qualified for their task.
