Growing vegetables and salads in raised beds has numerous benefits: the raised beds can be filled with the soil of your choice - ideal if you live in acidic soil areas, and the soil will warm up faster than the soil in the ground, helping to promote germination. Our raised bed is painted in a pleasant green colour, and is made from steel which is strong as well as lightweight. Measuring a generous 100cm by 30cm deep, it is easy to put together with just nuts and bolts (you will need a screwdriver and a pair of pliers). If 30 cm is too high, the bed can be easily dug into the ground to reduce the height. The matching grow tunnel offers the perfect protection for your raised bed crops. A tubular steel frame slots together using a series of plastic connectors and the reinforced polyethylene cover fits snugly over the top. 4 metal pegs are included which can be pushed through the metal eyelets and into the soil, securing the grow tunnel to the ground. No tools are required for construction
