James Lord was born and went to school on the Isle of Wight. College education was from Bournemouth Art College and London College of Printing where he gained a BA Hons degree. Employed firstly by Moore Wilson Design then LIFFE James worked as a graphic designer in London for 10 years. Returning to the Island in 2002 James initially worked as a freelance designer whilst renovating a 17th Century farmhouse near Gatcombe and in 2011 started a small design company, James Lord Design, in a converted barn.
