Foscarini Twiggy LED arc lamp with a height-adjustable arm, dimmable The industrial designer Marc Sadler is known for experimenting with new materials and innovative production methods. The design of the Twiggy series displays this enthusiasm for experimentation. A very flexible arched arm made of fibreglass composite is one of the components that distinguishes the Foscarini Twiggy LED arc lamp from other lights of its kind. Sadler made use of the high elasticity of the fibreglass to develop an original mechanism for height-adjustment. A maximum of four counterweights can be inserted into the arc lampshade in special pans above the diffuser. The effect is that the shaft bends and the lampshade tilts down. The lampshade of the arc lamp is also made of fibreglass composite material. The colours of the floor panel, shaft, and lampshade complement each other fully.
