Foscarini Lumiere table lamp with a handblown glass lampshade The Lumiere table lamp has been a firm favourite in the Foscarini lighting collection for three decades now and is a bestseller with almost cult status. In 1990, the designer Rodolfo Dordoni, who has enjoyed success in the fields of architecture and product design, combined the two basic materials of glass and aluminium to create a light source that will never go out of fashion. Thanks to the special incamiciato glassworking technique, the handblown, elegantly shaped lampshade is shown to particularly good advantage when the light is switched on. Lumiere emits a glare-free, diffuse and homogeneous light downwards through the glass lampshade. The gently curved polished aluminium tripod, on which the glass lampshade rests, forms an elegant contrast. Silicone feet protect the base from scratches.
