Foscarini Le Soleil - dimmable designer wall light Four asymmetrically layered strips of moulded polycarbonate give the Foscarini wall light Le Soleil not only an extravagant appearance, but also characteristic light distribution. The material of the painted plastic strips is not translucent so that the light can travel only through the spaces between the overlapping bands. The surface of the bands facing the light source is reflective while the external surface acts as a diffuser. The asymmetry and the oblique cut of the individual bands makes the Le Soleil appear differently depending on the viewing angle. Compared to the hanging light of the Le Soleil family, the wall light is not simply a copy of the hanging light. Rather, it has been individually inspired and redesigned with different proportions, because as a wall light it has its own purpose to fulfil.
