Rarely available in UK, a collection of essays edited by Harvey H. Jackson and Phinizy Spalding, published in 1984. Covers socio-economic topics from the arrival of the first British settlers in the Georgia region to the War of Independence. This is a hardback copy, it has neat notes and underlining, mainly to Chapters 3-5 and 10, in black ink, but otherwise is in very good condition. Tight binding and bright pages in unmarked tan cloth boards with gilt design and lettering. Minor rubbing to spine edges and corners. Dust jacket is more worn with small tears to edges and marks, and bookseller's stock sticker to spine. Published in Wormsloe Foundation Publications series (no. 16).
