The FLIR MR40 Moisture Pen is a handy and reliable addition to any toolbox. It measures moisture levels in wood and other common building materials from 5% to 60% via its two replaceable electrode measurement pins. Accuracy stands at 2%. These measurement capabilities make it suitable for a range of different industries including construction, moisture remediation, pest control and roofing/flooring. It is particularly useful when used in tandem with a thermal camera as it can indicate whether a cold spot is the result of excess moisture. Digital readings are displayed on the LCD display and an audible beeper provides further feedback. The FLIR MR40 fits easily into the user's pocket and further practicality comes in the form of the integrated torch which illuminates dark target areas. Operation is incredibly simple and the instrument is splash-proof and drop-tested to three metres. The battery lasts for roughly 70 hours (without the torch) and the pen is covered by a limited lifetime
