Turn signal relay 31: To ground (chassis): Connected to the car's chassis or a ground point. This is so that the relay has a reference to ground. 49 To the battery's positive terminal via the fuse (+ or B): Connected to a constant current source, usually via the ignition switch or fuse box. This is the power input to the relay. 49a To the turn signal lever and then to the lights (L): Connected to the turn signal switch (for example the turn signal lever) and then to the turn signal lights.
