John Godolphin Bennett, (1897 - 1974) was a British mathematician, scientist, technologist, industrial research director, and author, who is best known for his many books on psychology and spirituality, and particularly the teachings of G.I. Gurdjieff. Bennett met Gurdjieff in Constantinople in 1921, and helped to co-ordinate the work of Gurdjieff in England after Gurdjieff's arrival in Paris. He also was active in starting the Subud movement, and co-founded its British headquarters. Bennett regarded the spiritual exercise of Subud, as being akin to what the mystics call diffuse contemplation. Page edges lightly browned, wrappers rubbed & slightly marked, otherwise solid & internally-clean VG copies. The scarce first printings of a series of talks given to members by Bennett. This booklet is in good condition for its age, but does have discolouration to the covers and light sunning to the pages. **Quick dispatch guaranteed!
