Subtitled 'The Writings of F Matthias Alexander - In conversation with Walter Carrington and Sean Carey', this book presents a series of discussions on Alexander's technique, its importance and impact. Following an Introduction, conversations are structured under the titles of Alexander's four books: 'Man's Supreme Inheritance', 'Constructive Conscious Control of the Individual', 'The Use of the Self', and 'The Universal Constant in Living'. Walter Carrington trained with F M Alexander from 1936 to 1939, worked as his assistant and then carried on the teacher training course after Alexander's death in 1955. Sean Carey studied social science at the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne and gained a PhD in social anthropology. He trained as an Alexander teacher at Alexander Teaching Associates in London from 1982 to 1985. Paperback with some scoring on cover, faded on spine and deleted sticker on front. Pages and binding good but some foxing on top and side edges.
