This lovely lustre wear tea service comprises ,teapot with lid and separate stand and lidded hot water jug The pieces are all in very good condition though there are some small chips under the lid of the hot water jug that are visible when the lid is open . The lid has a Patent mark. The tops of the tea pot and jug are coloured deep green and this transposes to a dark brown . All items are decorated with a gilt finish which is in remarkably good condition for its age. The broad flat base of the items suggest they may have been designed for use on a ship or vehicle but this is speculative and has not been established. The tea pot is 14 centimetres tall with lid and the hot water jug 16 centimetres.
