They played for weddings, parties and for dances. Herman was so pleased with my results that he began studying music seriously. He played with the Orchestra and Band of Kent State University and the University of Michigan. While playing with his 5 piece band, Herman Daldin was called upon to transpose music for the members of his orchestra. He would find words and phrases written on Music sheets and he had a difficult time finding the meanings of the words and phrases. So, Herman decided to search for the meanings and compile his answers. A few years ago, he realized that he had enough material to put in a book and get it out to other Music Students and Teachers.
