This paperback book is in good condition. There is some shelf wear with rubbing and creasing and slight grubbiness to the back cover. The covers are also a little sunned but have been protected to some extent by a plastic cover. The front endpapers have brown stains from a spillage. The title page has a library stamp. "The diary of John Henry Clark for 1826, is in essence a day by day jotting-down of visits paid, people met, books read: the trivia of life mingling with business references which were, no doubt, at the time of the greatest performance; but all combining to provide for present day readers both points of contact with our modern life-style and glimpses of a way of life long disappeared.
