Development of Tractor Operated Farm Yard Manure (FYM) Applicator : 9783659274244 : 3659274240 : The use of high dose of chemical fertilizers and poisonous plant protection chemicals adversely affecting the health of the soil and its fertility. Organic manures like FYM improve soil ferility therefore there is wide scope to its application to distribute it uniformly on the soil surface. Therefor Tractor Operated FYM Applicator was developed. The whole assembly was mounted on cultivator frame. The hopper was designed for the capacity of 0.554 tone of FYM. The slider plates were designed and fabricated to control the flow of manure. Agitator was used to mix and break the clods of manure. It was designed and fabricated in such a way that group of three metal plates form one helix for maximum working effectively.
