This book is an accompaniment to an exhibition of David Hockney's work at the Museum Boymans-van Beuningen in Rotterdam, in 1995. This catalogue to the exhibition was compiled by Hockney and Piet de Jonge, Their conversation took place in Hockney's Los Angeles studio and the interview is included in this Dutch publication, in both Dutch and English. The transcript is printed throughout the book, interspersed with the colour plates of the exhibition pieces, which are beautifully presented in the book's A4 landscape format. Hard-cover, illustrated with examples of the work, (there is no dust-jacket) has some marks on the back and there is a little damage at the top and bottom of the spine. Slight foxing along top edge and tanning on pages. Some adhesive marks inside hard-cover.
