This white LED GLS light bulb is part of a range which has been developed by Crompton Lamps as a means of replacing those light bulbs which are due to be phased out in February 2016 as part of the European Union's wide-ranging ban on incandescent light bulbs.On the surface this newer range looks exactly the same as the outgoing one, with the same assortment of colours, shapes and cap types available. Of course, underneath each light bulb's immaculately coloured envelope things are entirely different, with modern LED components replacing the tungsten filaments of old.
