Bringing together a retailer and sportswear brand based in Boston, the Concepts x Converse Chuck 70 High ‘Southern Flame’ explores the sport of basketball’s New England roots. This special-edition Chuck 70, released in tandem with an All Star BB Evo, takes inspiration from the peach baskets that James Naismith used when he invented basketball in Springfield, Mass., in 1891. Orange and yellow hues redolent of ripe peach coat the fuzzy suede upper, equipped with chrome eyelets and a rubber toe cap. The Chuck 70’s signature glossy midsole is accented with mismatched Concepts and Converse branded license plates.
