Claire Murray (b. 1970) is a British artist living and working in England. This book is the first monograph published for this fast rising artist, It features a retrospective selection of paintings from 2017 to 2021.( 252 pages, 106 color photographs, texts by Claire Murray.) In 1995, Claire Murray completed a Mastersin Fine Art from Northumbria University in Newcastle. Since her MA, her artwork has ranged from the traditional to conceptual, through interesting fusions of drawing, painting, print, stitch, collage and mixed media, and abstract painting. An admirer of Robert Rauschenberg, Jasper Johns, Rothko, Kandinsky, Willem De Kooning, Helen Frankenthaler, Gerhard Richter, Anselm Keiffer, Graeme Sutherland, and Peter Lanyon et al., Claire Murray has defined her very personal style.
