Very good condition. Full title - The Book of Common Prayer, and Administration of the Sacraments, and Other Rites and Ceremonies of the Church, According to the Use of The United Church of England and Ireland: Together with the Proper Lessons for Sundays and Other Holy-Days, printed by Oxford University Press for The Society for Promoting Christian Knowledge in 1864. In excellent condition considering its age. The leatherbound hardback cover has the title simply as "Church Services" on the ridged spine and a brass frame edging the front and back covers with a brass clasp. The text block edges are gilt sprayed and on the inside covers, below the endpapers, there is a gilt pattern. The original ribbon marker has come away but is still in place at Saint Matthew the Apostle. There is some slight foxing to the endpapers and prelims. The book is unpaginated. However, the text is clean, the binding is secure and there are otherwise no significant marks or damage.
