The jute gives the rug a carefree look and the cotton ensures a pleasant feel - the best combination in our opinion! Material Jute is a plant-based material. The grass grows in a tropical environment, the jute fibres are extracted from the pith of the stalks, then washed, dried, oiled and spun into yarn. The jute articles from mutoni living are coarsely woven to achieve a robust appearance. Jute is quite stiff, but can be dyed very well as the pigments adhere well to the coarse fibres.
