Few cities have been planned with the forethought and care that created Canberra, Australia's National Capital. Its streets and buildings, open spaces and tree lined boulevards blend in harmony with the landscape to provide a beautiful work environment in which to work and live. June Kelly lived there for many years and has returned on numerous occasions to paint and draw her impressions of the modern Canberra. From the wealth of material, she has chosen to illustrate not only some of the lovely government buildings and elegant embassies, but also the old towns and villages which surround the Capital.
