First edition, first impression in book form, 1942. Original dark grey cloth with paper title label on spine. No dust jacket. The corners and edges are a little rubbed and bumped, and the cloth is a bit faded and marked in places. The backstrip has a light crease running along it. The textblock edges have a few foxing spots, and the top textblock edge has dulled. There are some occasional spots internally, including one in the text on pages 107/8, as well as an owner's name discreetly on the ffep. Otherwise clean, notwithstanding some mild toning to the paper. Alas there is a closed tear (approx. 2 cm) in the top edge of the title page. 160 pages. Size 19 x 12.8 x 1.5 cm.
