The two-seater coupe and convertible with the "particularly sporty note" was already announced in a communication dated 12 November 1937, although it would not be available before May 1938. The shortage of raw materials before the outbreak of war was already very noticeable, and so this news appeared to be very premature. The new 327 with its narrow emergency seat in the rear replaced the predecessor BMW 326 with the newly designed sporty design. Like all BMW models, the 327 series was built in Eisenach (East Germany) until 1945, where this beautiful model once again celebrated its resurrection after the war as BMW and from 1952 then as EMW 327/2 (Cabrio) and 327/3 (Coupé).
