Near Fine condition with beige cloth hard covers, gilt titles on red panels on the front and spine; slight discolouration of the publisher name at the base of the spine. Slight foxing on the page edges, tanning on the first and last free endpapers. The text block is clean and bright with no inscriptions and tight binding, it appears to have been little used. The original glassine dust wrapper is present; it has edge wear and chipping, a small hole in the front, and a couple of patches of paper adhered to the front near the spine. The book and wrapper are held in and have been protected by their original cardboard postal delivery box; this box has surface soiling, damage to two of the corners of the lid, original printed sealing tape, and the original recipient name and address. The title continues: ' by a geographical and historical description of the principal roads thereof. Actually admeasured and delineated in a century of whole-sheet copper-sculps.
