BMW E46 ADDITIONAL DIFFERENTIAL MOUNTING PLATES  TYPE 215 We offer a specially developed reinforcement for the BMW E46a chassis that is often used as a basis for many different motorsport projects. The purpose of this reinforcement is to evenly distribute the forces that affect the rear beam and thus increase durability during hard driving. It replaces the well-known bushing no. 9 in the beam, which needs to be cut away. Instead, two additional mountings for the differential are welded directly into the beam. The differential is mounted in a so-calledsandwichconfiguration, where it is first screwed to the front of the beam and then welded into the new mountings. The brackets should be welded before the differential is finally mounted, so that it can be easily dismantled if necessary (see example in the picture). The kit contains all the screws required to mount the differential to the new beam brackets. Made of 8 mm steel (S355) for maximum strength and precision.
