David Worsley's Dove Street Pottery goes from strength to strength. The latest batch of stoneware bowls and jugs that he has supplied to us are in two rich dark colours, a black glaze and a phthalo blue glaze. As with all of his other hand thrown wares these are each made by hand on the wheel before being finished and glazed. The glazes that David uses have a speckled tone which brings out both the richness of the glaze and also identifies the throwing marks that have occurred as the bowl or jug as been thrown on the wheel. These bowls are perfect for a pasta as the name suggests but equally as a bowl for a salad, a pile of steaming butter-soaked greens or a thick Greek yoghurt. Each piece bears the Dove Street Pottery DP stamp to the base. Slight variations in dimension will occur between all of the pieces.
