The spine is completely missing. Heavy scuffing to board corners with loss of surface. Inscription to front end paper. Back hinges cracked and one slight gutter gap, but the leaves are tight and the text block is holding together well. The leaves are in good condition, with no significant folding or creasing. The pages are lightly to moderately stained throughout, occasionally heavier. Only light soiling to the gilt text block edges. Fairly clean for age and still solid. Thirty engravings, with accompanying text.
