Tony Soper brings his experience as a naturalist and presenter of the successful BBC series Birdwatch to sharpen our curiosity about the world of birds and explores how they come to terms with out changing times. As well as original photographs, this book contains colour artwork by Robert Gillmor, with line-drawings and a number of full-page illustrations displaying special features such as bills, feet and wing-shapes. The book concludes with a chapter of advice on basic equipment for birdwatching and some suggestions for extending interests. it comes with a solemn warning that it provides little more than a taste of what birdwatching is about and that the reader risks becoming an ornithologic. In that delightful state, life can never again be dull. Hardback is in good condition. Pages are clean and bright.
