The Tizio flexible desk lamp – designed by Richard Sapper The first Tizio lamp by Richard Sapper was launched by the Italian light manufacturer Artemide in 1972. The comfortable desk lamp, equipped with a movable arm and a head balanced by counterweights, quickly became a designer classic. The lamp is movable in all directions, and remains in position thanks to the counterweights. Apart from the supply cable, the construction completely avoids any disruptive cables. This Tizio creation is equipped with a socket for a low-voltage GY6.35 halogen lamp; the transformer required is installed in the base of the light. The designer Richard Sapper (1932-2015) created a number of design classics, such as the Sapper office chairs in 1979, a series of stopwatches for Heuer in 1979, and also the Nena folding chair for B&B Italia in 1984. Many well-known manufacturing brands were among his clients. Energy efficiency class:A++
