The O pendant light – attractive lighting for the public space Cities, with their residential areas and leisure facilities such as parks, are increasingly being lit up for security reasons, which results in an ever-increasing amount of light shafts, cables and masts being built, which disturbs the circadian rhythm of both animal and plant species. The O pendant light – designed by the designer quintet Elemental – was created with the idea of creating a light source that provides adequate lighting to the surrounding area on one hand and attracts as little attention as possible on the other. Its lampshade consists of a thin black aluminium profile shaped into a ring, while the LEDs on the inside shine in a pleasant warm white colour. The surroundings are immersed in soft light across a large area. With the IP code IP67 (dust-proof and protected against temporary submersion), the O pendant light can be used anywhere outdoors.
