Daniel Spoerri (born 1930) is a Swiss artist and writer born in Romania who is best known for his "snare-pictures," a type of assemblage or object art, in which he captures a group of objects, such as the remains of meals eaten by individuals, including the plates, silverware and glasses, all of which are fixed to the table or board, which is then displayed on a wall. This book is a collaborative work with three other artists (Robert Filliou, Emmett Williams and Dieter Roth) all associated with the FLUXUS and Nouveau Realism movements. It is a literary analogy to Spoerri's snare-pictures. The book personifies (and pre-dates) the whole FLUXUS spirit and constitutes one of the strangest and most compelling insights into Spoerris life.
