An illustrated biography of a trained working professional Lincolnshire artist in the late 19th and 20th centuries. In addition to his oils and watercolours he was a 'special artist' for a local newspaper and, being active in the early picture postcard era (and later), is known in postcard collecting circles as 'The Typhoid Man' for his 1905 card during Lincoln's Typhoid Epidemic, this card being published nationally. Originally working in Lincoln, he moved to Skegness in the 1920s where he continued his work, including postcard production. This copy is in nice clean condition and is signed by the author
