A three-way driver means that the light can provide direct lighting, indirect lighting and can combine the two. This effect is created through the use of a standard wall switch. The first operation of the switch causes the centre of the light to shine directly. Pressing the switch a second time turns on the indirect lighting; whilst a third use of the switch combines the two lighting options.
