Advanced glycation inhibitory potential of certain antidiabetic plants : 9783659566332 : 09 Jul 2014 : The present study was designed to investigate the antiglycation potential of hydro-alcoholic and alkaloidal fractions of selected plants. Seeds of Trigonella foenum-graecum, bulbs of Allium sativum, fruits of Momordica charantia. and leaves of Gymnema sylvestre were selected. The protein glycation inhibitory activity of these plants was evaluated using glucose-bovine serum albumin assay. Among the hydroalcoholic extracts, Trigonella-foenum graecum showed highest antiglycation activity (IC50 = 53.53
