Adirondack Swing Seat A novel variation on an infamous design Little did Thomas Lee know when, in 1903, he hastily threw together some old scraps of wood to make chairs for his family to sit on whilst at their Summer Home in the Adirondack Mountains, how famous his off the cuff design would become. Originally called The Westport Plank Chair by Lee, the re-named Adirondack design is now replicated in many different forms and timbers all over the worldpartly due to the fact that Lees supposed friend, Harry C. Bunnell, pinched the design and started selling it commercially for his own gains! But, up until recently, we hadnt seen an Adirondack Swing Seat And what a novel variation on the original design it is too.
