Academic Staff Performance as a Correlate of Staffing Policy : 9783659759741 : 16 Jul 2015 : Universities have increased today and every country now has a university. But in all universities, staffing and staffing policy have remained important. Amoud University is the largest university in size and capacity in Somaliland. However, over the years, the performance of its academic staff had been low as evidenced by the dearth of written records of research, publications and community service. This study investigated the effect of staffing policy on performance of academic staff of Amoud University, with respect to recruitment, selection and staff development. Guided by the Theory of Staffing, the study was conducted through a cross-sectional survey design, on a sample of 152 academic staff from 13 different faculties in 2014.
