Thomas Fuller. Abel Redevivus: or, the dead yet speaking. The lives and deathes of the moderne divines. No date, but almost certainly mid-17th century and possibly the first edition of 1651. Contains 43 engraved portraits throughout the text. 'The Life and Death of Lancelot Andrewes', 18pp. unpaginated, is bound in at end, as it was in the first edition (but in some copies it is bound in between pp. 440-441). One-quarter leather with marbled paper boards. Both covers detached, front endpaper detached. Various old hand marginalia. Lacks title page. Paper is browned, last page missing some pieces, and pp. 27-30 are badly torn. The 'Table' which should appear either at the beginning or between 'The Epistle' and 'The Life of Berengarius', is missing, but has been handwritten in black and red and bound in at the beginning. Dark stain at top of pages in gutter margin between pp. 511- 528 and pp.560-end, but these do not affect the text. This copy is consistent with other copies of the first
