Born in 1943 in to an artistic family , it was almost inevitable that this gentle, sensitive girl should follow in the footsteps of her talented artistic parents. In 1967 she produced what was to become a key work, Felt, Weave, Knit, a nine-piece matrix which focused on the transformation of a raw material into the three media in order to show the language and capabilities of each. It was a turning point in her career because it set her on the path to explore the use of textiles as an exciting medium. Living in Cumbria, Jenny's creative genius took off as she walked along the Solway firth and soaked in the atmosphere of sand, sea and sky.
