A Research and Design Work in Safety Rails : 9783659107016 : 25 Feb 2014 : Safety rails play a mightiest part in day to day life to reduce accidental falls. There are many companies manufacture the safety rails (Handrails). The North Yorkshire Mobility and Safety (NYMAS) is one the safety components manufacturing company in Stokesley, North Yorkshire, UK. They manufacture several grab/safety rails and bathroom chairs for the disabled peoples. In this book, NYMAS products are designed using CATIA V5 software and analysed using ABACUS software. The load is applied to the products to find out the stress intensity and deflection of the components with various materials. This process includes the understanding of cause of the failure and weak parts in the product. The results are then compared and validated with the experimental test results, done under Lloyds universal testing machine and Denison T42B4 universal testing machine.
