Rated one of the most exciting of Angela Brazil's classic school stories, this includes espionage during the first World War. Probably c 1922, no date marks, but the most recent of the stories listed inside is 'Monitress merle' (1922) . The decorated boards and spine are in very good condition, very sturdy. The endpapers are tanned. Plates are all present and Vg. there are some markings to the page block, and very occasionally throughout, but in general less than in other books from this series of this date. Dust jacket bright , slight ear to back, scuffs to top and base of spine. Front has slight scuffs to top and edge. No other original jacket pictured online or available at time of listing.
